How to get the Dog ending
The Silent Hill Townfall Dog ending is a New Game Plus route. Collect the three Guide Dog coins, deposit each coin into its matching Guide Dog donation bank, finish the final confrontation, and walk to Richard at the end of the pier. The Dog scene then replaces the normal ending result.
This route is separate from the three main endings and from the Sci-fi-lent Hill route. Make a manual save at the start of NG+ so you can retry the collectible route without losing your normal-ending saves.

Deposit each coin during the same NG+ run. Finding a coin is not enough: the ending check uses the donation banks, so confirm the interaction completes before moving on.
Bronze Coin: Part 1
In Part 1, search the back room of the Video Star store on Shorefront Road. Take the Bronze Coin and carry it to the Guide Dog donation bank on Main Street, opposite the Pharmacy. Complete the donation before leaving the district.
If the bank does not accept the coin, check that you are interacting with the Guide Dog donation point rather than a nearby storefront object. The coin and bank belong to the same early route, so this is the easiest step to verify immediately.
Silver Coin: Part 4
The Silver Coin is in the Clara Woods section. Search the backyard shelf after the route opens. Its matching Guide Dog bank is at the Laundry building's fire exit, behind the alley near the Post Office.
You need the Bolt Cutters to open the gate leading to the bank. Do not leave the area after collecting the coin without checking the laundry route, because the coin must be deposited during this run.
Gold Coin: Part 6
The Gold Coin is in Part 6's SWDP section, behind door 793. Search the room, take the coin, and continue until you reach the red-lit hallway with the four-way split. The final Guide Dog bank is there, after the container route.
Part 6 is the easiest place to lose the route because the area contains hostile encounters and several one-way transitions. Save before entering the SWDP section and verify the bank interaction before committing to the final sequence.
Final Dog ending trigger
After all three coins have been deposited:
- Finish the final boss encounter.
- Continue to the pier instead of reloading the pre-boss save.
- Walk to Richard at the end of the pier.
- Watch the alternate Dog ending scene.
The Dog ending takes the ending slot used by the normal Justice, Forever, or Abandoned result. If the usual ending plays, check the three donation banks first. One missed deposit is enough to send the run back to the main ending calculation.
